01

Mental-health risks

Make psychosocial risk visible and give people a route to support.

01.1

Think about workload, work patterns, relationships, role, control, support, and change.

01.2

Consider whether the route is clear, trusted, and usable by everyone.

01.3

Look for a review rhythm and evidence that agreed improvements are acted on.

02

Hybrid work

Bring home, hybrid, and lone-working arrangements into the same risk picture.

02.1

The working arrangement may change the risks, but not the employer’s responsibility for health and safety.

02.2

Include display-screen equipment, workspace, wellbeing, and how concerns are reported.

02.3

Check that people know who to contact and what happens when plans change or something goes wrong.

03

Asbestos

Keep the dutyholder, information, and work controls close to the work.

03.1

The role should have the competence, authority, resources, and time to manage the duty effectively.

03.2

Include the location and condition of asbestos-containing or presumed materials.

03.3

Relevant people should receive the information they need before work starts.

04

Emergencies

Make the plan clear enough to work when the situation is moving quickly.

04.1

Consider fire, serious injury, hazardous releases, site-specific events, and times the workplace is closed.

04.2

Make sure people know who takes control and how different needs will be supported.

04.3

A plan is more dependable when responsibilities are recorded, rehearsed, and updated.

05

Martyn’s Law

Record the current scope view and ownership before preparing what applies.

05.1

Consider qualifying premises, qualifying events, expected attendance, uses, and any exclusions or exemptions.

05.2

Be clear about who is responsible for relevant premises or events and who coordinates the work.

05.3

Keep preparations proportionate to what applies and review them as guidance or circumstances change.
